Georgian National Film Center

The Georgian National Film Center is a “Legal Entity of Public Law” under the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia, established on December 5, 2000. Since its founding, GNFC has continued to promote the development of the national cinema and film industry by providing financial support for film productions and providing strategic guidance for the industry’s development.

Today, its activities are focused on providing support for:

  • Educational initiatives in the field of cinema;
  • Development of the cinema network nationwide;
  • Expanding international business relations and market linkages;
  • Projects that target the preservation of Georgia’s national cinema heritage;
  • Organization of film festivals and other related events;
  • Increasing film exports at the local and international levels;
  • Introduction of modern film infrastructure

Enterprise Georgia’s Film in Georgia Program

Enterprise Georgia’s “Film in Georgia” Program

Film in Georgia is a film industry incentive program launched in 2016 by the Government of Georgia through Enterprise Georgia. The program provides support for the development of Georgia’s film industry through facilitating a favorable environment for film producers and removing bureaucratic obstacles that could restrict the production process. The program offers a cash rebate of up to 25% on qualified expenses incurred within Georgia.

To support its goals, the Film in Georgia program offers the following services for national and international film production companies:

  • Location scouting;
  • Assistance in procuring permits;
  • Coordination and communication with various stakeholders.

GFM Filmbridge

GFM Filmbridge is a non-profit dedicated to establishing a modern, internationally competitive, and robust entertainment industry in Georgia and other emerging markets. Additionally, it focuses on facilitating improved collaboration and distribution and enabling industries to better represent cultural values worldwide.

The organization provides consultancy services, specializing in cultural and creative economy, as well as in industry research and evaluations to improve existing and new programs and policies. GFM Filmbridge supports educational initiatives and provides recommendations on migration plans, copyright laws, legal reform, and incentives in entertainment to support growing entertainment industries and to establish standards required for international collaboration and cultural exchange.
